The Montreal Chldren's Hospital Foundation is proud to be the recipient of a cheque for $10,000 from The Lakeshore Kiwanis Club. This donation was given to The Best Care for Children Campaign to help make the new Children’s a reality. The Lakeshore Kiwanis Club has been providing service in the West Island for over 50 years. Its members are all volunteers and work to provide help, both physical and financial, to primarily children's projects and also to seniors. They raise funds through many events and initiatives such as their annual Nuts & Cakes sales during the Holidays and their annual Golf Tournament in July.

The Fondation Edouard et ses étoiles generously donated $50,000 to the Hematology / Oncology division of The Children’s. The funds will be used for the creation of a videoconference room, which will facilitate communication between specialists from different centres in Quebec, including CHU Ste-Justine, CHUS (Sherbrooke) and CHUQ (Québec), and allow for a more rapid and efficient exchange of research findings.

In lieu of birthday gifts, Saundra and Simon Finkelstein asked that their guests make a donation to The Children's and bring a toy for a young patient. This generous gesture raised nearly $300 for our Hospital.

A donation of $4,200 was made in honour of 11-month-old Anthony-George Meo. Little Anthony-George, show here with his mother Jenny Imperiale, his uncle Vince Cammisano, his aunt Josie Imperiale and his two cousins, underwent surgery at The Children’s at just 17 days old.
