Thomas Plamondon and Alessandro Damiani celebrated their 6th birthdays by asking their family and friends to make a donation to the Neurosurgery Department of The Montreal Children’s Hospital in lieu of birthday presents. Thomas and Alessandro proudly presented $1227.73 to Valerie Frost, Director of Special Events and Community Groups at the Foundation and Dr. Mirko Gilardino. Well done Thomas and Alessandro!
Another birthday success! Since 2008, sisters Zoey & Alexa Adourian have raised $2,500 for The Children's Child Life Services Department, in honour of their birthdays. This year, to celebrate her fourth birthday, Alexa raised over $550. Thank you Alexa for your wonderful generosity!
Jason Goulet-Lipman asked his friends to make a donation in lieu of presents for his 9th birthday party. This is the second time Jason has decided to make a donation to the Children’s in honor of his birthday - what a wonderful tradition!
Five-year-old Katerina Haines asked her friends to make a donation in lieu of gifts, to celebrate her 5th birthday. She proudly donated $465 to the Child Life Services Department of The Children’s. Big brother Brendan also donated children’s games. Way to go Haines family!
Alexandra (left) and Kayla Payne (right), fraternal twin sisters, celebrated their 6th birthdays by asking family and friends to make a donation to The Children’s in lieu of birthday presents. A total of $626 was generously donated to the most urgent needs of the Hospital. Thank you Alexandra and Kayla!
Instead of presents for her 7th birthday, Mariza Markessinis asked guests to make a donation to The Children’s, and succeeded in raising $465. What a wonderful gesture – bravo Mariza!
Julia Webster generously donated $570.64 to the Child Life Services Department of The Children’s after asking her family and friends to make a donation in honour of her 7th birthday. Julia hopes that this very important contribution will help keep a smile on our young patients faces. What a great way to kick off the New Year!
Sara Sabbah and Hannah Randolph, grade 6 students at Beechwood Elementary School, invited classmates to contribute to a "toonie drive" to help put smiles on the faces of sick children for the holiday season. They raised $400, which was used to buy DVD players, DVDs, and Nintendo DS games for the Child Life Services Department of The Children’s.
Outgoing and high-spirited Sammy Macri donated $400 to the Child Life Services Department of The Children`s. Sammy asked friends and family to make a donation in lieu of giving birthday presents. Thank you!
In the true spirit of giving, 12-year-old Luciano Randisi dug into his savings and generously donated $250 to The Children’s Hematology/Oncology Division. His parents and younger sister Lara are very proud of him for making this special gift.
Ryan Alexander recently celebrated his Bar Mitzvah by asking guests to make a donation to The Children’s in lieu of gifts. He raised an incredible $5000, which will be designated to the Neurosurgery Department. Thank you Ryan, for this very generous gesture.
